Weekly Priorities

A simple check-in that helps your team start the week aligned without another meeting.

At the start of each week, Palette asks everyone for their top priorities, potential blockers, wins from last week, and a quick shoutout. A few hours later, it posts a clean summary in Slack so the whole team knows what matters right now.

No status meetings. No messy threads. Just a shared plan.

What it does

  • Asks each teammate for:

    • This week’s top 1–3 priorities

    • Any known blockers (optional)

    • A shoutout to someone on the team (optional)

  • Helps people phrase their priorities clearly

  • Rolls everything into one clear update (not just a paste of everyone’s answers)

  • Shares that view in a team channel so everyone sees the same plan

How it works

  • On a set day (usually Monday), Palette sends each teammate a quick DM.

  • They reply in their own words – short and simple.

  • Palette tidies the responses, surfaces blockers and themes, and creates one summary.

  • That summary gets posted in Slack for the whole team.

If someone doesn’t answer, Palette follows up with a gentle nudge.

Why it matters

  • The team sees what’s important this week without a standing status meeting

  • Blockers show up early instead of on Friday

  • People get recognition and shoutouts in front of the team

  • Everyone starts the week on the same page

Ask Palette

You can ask Palette things like:

  • “What’s everyone focused on this week?”

  • “Who’s blocked?”

  • “Any shoutouts this week?”

  • “What were last week’s wins?”
