About Palette

For the last decade, knowledge work drifted away from its original promise. It was supposed to be about thinking, creating, deciding. Instead it became status meetings, reporting, alignment rituals, and busywork.

AI changes that. But the speed has created a new problem: the individual got faster than the organization. More and more work happens inside sessions between humans and agents, and the context behind that work disappears before anyone else in the company can see it.

Palette is the shared context layer for teams and AI. We ingest signals from the tools teams already use (Slack, Linear, Notion, GitHub, calendar, email), turn them into a living map of the organization, and serve that context to the agents people work with every day.

Palette Desktop is the app where teams put that context to work. Point it at a folder your team shares on Google Drive or Dropbox, and run agents on Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, or a local model inside it. More providers ship in regularly. It opens those agents up to the whole company, including non-engineers, and the team picks the model that fits. We shipped Desktop in May, and it's already where most of our own work happens.

We're 6 people in Copenhagen. Four co-founders, two founding engineers. Design partners include Airtame, Monta, GetWhy, Scrive, and Contractbook.

The role

You'll partner with Christian (CPO and co-founder) on what we ship. This is a builder role: you design and ship in the same day, sit with design partners when we launch something, and write the launch post yourself.

We're looking for a full-stack product person with deep design and UX sense, deep frontend skill, and deep product instinct.

This is a founding role. You'll help define how product at Palette looks and feels.

What you'll shape

Ownership at Palette rotates with the projects and focus, so you'll have weight across all of this:

• The product surface, end to end. The desktop app, the context layer, and the marketing site.
• Visual language and brand. Logo, marketing materials, launch posts, and demo videos.
• A design system that grows with the product.
• The website.
• Product strategy. You're involved in where we're heading, what we build, and what we sunset.
• Shipping in code. You work in React and TypeScript. You open PRs.

Who you are

• Opinionated on the future of work. You have a view on how organizations will operate in an AI-native world, and you want to build that future and shape it for the better.
• The full stack. Three things in depth: design and UX, production-grade frontend (React, TypeScript), and product instinct.
• 10+ years building real products. Consumer-grade taste, B2B depth.
• Strong visual craft. Your portfolio shows it.
• A product mind. You combine deep understanding of users, a clear sense of the future you want to build for them, a seamless and delightful experience to get there, and a feel for building a strong business around it.
• A doer. Small team and no design ops, so you're comfortable pushing things forward yourself.
• Comfortable orchestrating agents. A lot of design and product execution at Palette runs through agents. You set direction, apply judgment, and decide what's good enough to ship.

Bonus

• You've worked at an AI-native company and understand how agents change the design problem.
• You've founded or co-founded something.
• You've set up design at an org level: design systems, principles, and the orchestration to make them stick across teams.
• You've written publicly about design, taste, or AI.

Compensation

Competitive salary and meaningful founding equity. We hire one founding designer, so the equity reflects that.
